The German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) has awarded a multi-year framework contract that calls for the supply of up to 200 light airborne combat vehicles (le LL EGF) and support vehicles (le LL UstgFzg), known as TAHR to Flensburg Technology Systems GmbH (FTS), a subsidiary of FFG Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft mbH.

The TAHR represents a newly introduced vehicle class in the 3.2-ton range, optimized for the demanding requirements of special operations forces. The framework contract was officially signed this week between the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) and FTS.

Developed to meet the specific operational needs of the German Special Forces Command (KSK), the TAHR is a lightweight 4x4 platform that combines extreme off-road agility, rapid acceleration, and exceptional stability. Already combat-proven, the vehicle delivers superior mobility and versatility for diverse mission profiles.

Under this strategic project, FTS will ensure long-term logistical support and sustainment from its facilities in Flensburg, ensuring the highest levels of operational readiness. Beyond Germany, the TAHR will also be offered to international partners seeking a robust, field-tested special operations vehicle.

Jörg Kamper, CEO of Flensburg Technology Systems GmbH: “We are highly satisfied about this long-term project with the Bundeswehr. We look forward to implementing this program with the KSK and are confident that our vehicle represents the optimal solution not only for the Bundeswehr, but also for other international special operations forces. Through timely deliveries of the vehicle systems, we are contributing directly to the future operational readiness of the German Armed Forces and the KSK.”
